A network of operators and regulators of airline businesses have expressed their support for the planned construction of terminals on the northern side of Suvarnabhumi Airport, an airline executive said yesterday.

Under the current arrangement, Singaporeans are allowed to enter Indonesia via specific ferry terminals in Batam and Bintan.

The Southeast Asia Tobacco Control Alliance (SEATCA) on Tuesday said it strongly supported Thailand’s move to ban smoking inside the passenger terminals of all its airports, in order to protect employees and non-smoking travellers from exposure to second-hand smoke.
