Immigration Bureau police have nabbed 2,978 migrants from neighbouring countries who entered Thailand illegally from March to May this year, Immigration Police deputy chief Pol Maj-General Achayon Kraithong said on Wednesday.

Provincial Police Region 5 chief Pol Lt-General Prachuap Wongsuk instructed Chiang Rai Immigration Police chief Nattawut Saengduen on Wednesday to charge three people who illegally entered Thailand with Covid-19. The three have since recovered but are required to continue to observe their symptoms at home for another 14 days.
