An abbot in Chiang Mai has been arrested and defrocked for allegedly sexually abusing “more than 10” boys at his temple in Hang Dong district.

A Chai Nat monk was defrocked yesterday after a woman and used condoms were found in his living quarters provided by his temple.

Five Cambodian monks were arrested in Chachoengsao on Tuesday for alleged illegal entry to solicit donations. All were defrocked.
