New laptops for gamers

LENOVO has launched a new sub-brand named Legion, providing two new laptops designed for gaming.

Jeerawut Wongpimonporn, general manager for Indochina of Lenovo (Thailand), said the Legion Y720 was the world’s first Windows-based Dolby Atoms personal computer with audio and optional integrated Xbox One Wireless receiver.
It features a new keyboard with optional backlight and promises high speed and storage functionality. It also features a 15.6-inch UHD IPS (ultra-high definition in-plane switching) anti-glare display. Prices will start at Bt69,990.
The Y520 is powered by an Intel Core i7 processor, and offers an optional red-backlit keyboard that gamers can adjust for improved precision whether using it during the day or night. It will be available starting at Bt31,990.
Jeerawut said Lenovo Gaming research had shown that 59 per cent of PC gamers across the globe demanded more immersive experiences from their PC.
“PC gaming continues to be popular in Thailand. Gamers are becoming increasingly demanding when it comes to performance, flexibility and immersive experience. Legion enables them to engage with the gamer community and meet their rapidly evolving needs.”
The company this year expects to control around 30 per cent of the Thai game market, up from 25 per cent last year.
