Public gets behind hospital after it stops using plastic bags
People have donated over 100,000 cloth bags to Wat Bote District Hospital in Phitsanulok province after it stopped using plastic bags to hold medicine.
The hospital asked for donations of cloth bags after many elderly patients failed to come with their own cloth bags for medicine.
As of Monday, Jakkrapong Ngernklan, a pharmacist at the hospital, said the facility had received over 100,000 bags.
Among big donors is MK Restaurant,, which provided 800 bags.
The hospital said the bags would also be given to six community hospitals in Wat Bote district, so Wat Bote Hospital would welcome more donations.
