Mercury in Northeast may drop by 2 to 4 Celsius degree: Meteorological Department


A rather strong high pressure ridge from China that has moved down to cover Thailand would cause the temperature in the Northeast to drop by two to four Celsius degrees, the Meteorological Department predicted Monday.

In its morning forecast for 6 am Monday to 6 am Tuesday, the department said the minimum temperature in northeastern provinces would range from 14 to 19 degree while the mercury atop mountaintops in the region would drop to 8 to 12 degrees.
The department said the minimum temperature in northern provinces would range from 15 to 20 degrees while mountaintop temperature from six to ten degrees.
