World Bank pares back global growth forecast

In its semi-annual Global Economic Prospects report, the World Bank lowered the estimate for global growth this year just slightly to 2.7 percent, from 2.8 percent in the June forecast.

The World Bank maintained its US forecast from June at 2.2 percent this year, following a sluggish 1.6 percent in 2016.
