Cherry-picking from holy books in order to attack or support a religion can quickly become a tedious affair. Fortunately light relief is on hand if we drift over to some of the less-read writings of the faithful.
Readers might like to check out the work of Leo Allatius, a 16th-century Greek theologian and keeper of the Vatican library. In his “A Discussion of the Foreskin of Our Lord Jesus Christ”, he says that once in the heavens, the Holy Foreskin expanded to become one of Saturn’s rings.
