Zen announces Bt44-million loss

Zen Corporation Group announced a loss of Bt44.21 million, or a 237.7 per cent drop, in 2020 first-quarter earnings compared to those in the same period in 2019, which saw a gain of Bt32.12 million in net profit.

The group said the main cause of this loss was the impact from Covid-19 on its restaurant business, as well as its adherence to the Thai Financial Reporting Standards 16.
The cost of goods sold in the last quarter amounted to Bt362.4 million, decreasing by 4.9 per cent from Bt380.9 million last year.
Also, the group’s gross profit fell by Bt271.2 million.
