“The estimated total number is around 142 to 144,” he said. “The lack of certainty about the exact number was because of the difficulty of the operation in bringing them to one place, before flying them back”.
“This kind of operation needs time and field staff to manage operational issues,” he added.
Don also said that presently there was no plan to help those who had decided to remain in the city. “We have tried our best to help bring Thai people in Wuhan and other surrounding areas of Hubei province back,” the minister said “But there are some with family there who decided not to come back, or who have decided to travel back on their own.
“On this matter, our staff have checked as precisely as possible,” he added.
