Air Force Commander-in-Chief ACM Chaiyapruek Disayasarin presided over the ceremony to open the celebration at 8am.
Activities will continue until 4pm, while the air show is expected to end at 2.50pm.
As parts of the airshow, military planes will fly to release smoke of the national flag's colours.
There will also be combat show by F-16 and F-5 fighter jets, and a rescue operation show by EC-725 helicopters.
The Air Force will also display some Gripen fighter jets.
