Two held in Bangkok meth bust


Two men were arrested in Bangkok on Wednesday evening for possession 102,082 meth pills, an assortment of other drugs and a pistol.

Col Charnwit Poompho, deputy commander of Metropolitan Police Division 3, said Pollawat Jaikamhaeng, 36, and Chonwarat Kamlangcharoen, 35, were arrested in a sting operation.
An undercover policeman contacted the two to buy 2,000 meth pills for Bt32,000 and they were arrested when they delivered the drugs at the carpark of the Big C Chaeng Wattana at 5pm on Wednesday.
Police then searched their condominium in Nonthaburi's Pak Kret district and found more drugs. They seized 113 grammes of crystal meth, 66 ecstasy pills and two bottles of ketamine, a 9mm pistol and 35 rounds of ammunition.
The two reportedly said they got the drugs for resale from a man they knew only as King.
