Criminal Court pays tribute to late King
The Criminal Court in Bangkok will soon be festooned with blooming marigolds in a show of loyalty to His Majesty the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej.
Chief Justice Supat Sutthimanas on Wednesday presided at the launch of a project called “999 Yellow Marigolds of Loyalty”. On hand were judges and officials who helped plant the marigolds around the court compound.
The flowers are expected to blossom at the same time the royal cremation is taking place, from October 25-29.
Marigolds are being planted around the country in tribute to the late King. The government has urged people to cultivate yellow flowers, the colour being associated with Monday, the day the late monarch was born.
