Caught on phone on phone, van driver fined, suspended

The Land Transport Department on Wednesday charged Bangkok-Rayong van driver Wiroj Sarathit Bt2,000 for his negligence and took away his driving privileges temporarily.
He was also ordered to attend a three-hour training session on how public transportation drivers ought to behave.
One of his passengers on Tuesday posted a video showing Wiroj steering with his right hand while evidently reading the display of his phone in his left hand held against the wheel.
