Students want Nakhon Si Thammarat University rector ousted

The group led by Pongsathorn Sompaen, president of the university’s student association, demanded Dr Kanat Thathong resign as rector.
The students accuse him of abusing his authority and making questionable decisions on school affairs.
The students dispersed after university council secretary Dr Thanaporn Muangmungkhun assured them the council would consider their letter demanding regime change.
The letter had been submitted to the council president, he said, and a meeting would be called.
