The two were identified as Boonnom Intharak, 60, and Pensri Sornchai, 61.
Their relatives told police that the two were returning from buying food at a fresh market when the accident occurred.
The truck driver, Kraisri Kruasri, 51, claimed that his traffic light had just turned from green to yellow and so he continued to drive past the intersection, but the motorcycle suddenly came out from the other road to block his way.
Kraisri said he could not stop in time and his truck dragged the motorcycle for about 100 metres before he could stop.
Police have yet to check security camera footage and take legal action accordingly.
