Sansiri’s reports 66% growth hike for Escape hotel brand

Sansiri said this week its Escape-brand hotel chain has recorded 66-per-cent growth in the four years since its launch and credited the success to digital marketing.

The brand is anticipating 7-per-cent growth in 2018 thanks to competitive pricing, high dining standards and service, and state-of-the-art experiences designed to attract tourists from elsewhere in Asia.
“Escape hotel is a business that supports Sansiri’s core residence-development business, especially the condominium segment in resort areas,” said chief operating officer Uthai Uthaisangsuk. “Escape hotel aims to offer new-generation tourists unique brand experiences. Our guests get to experience the same high lifestyle standards that Sansiri offers its residents. 
“Both the Khao Yai and Hua Hin Escape properties have shown impressive growth and potential in their four years of operation and are stepping up to become one of the leaders in this segment in the shortest possible timeframe. The business has recorded Bt340-million in net income.
“We are expecting to end 2017 with Bt100 million in net income,” Uthai said. “As of now, average occupancy is above target and should reach 70 per cent by year end. 
“Although overall domestic tourism in the first to third quarters was not quite active, rooms were almost fully booked during the fourth quarter. We are expecting an 80-per-cent average occupancy rate in Khao Yai and 70 per cent in Hua Hin by the end of 2017.”
