The rising water level in Wangthong River has already affected large areas of the district, forcing local people to move their belongings to higher ground, while many children played in the floodwaters.
A reporter at the scene reported on Sunday that water levels had started to decrease, but many low-lying areas near the river were still submerged under one metre of water.
The flood also affected a local pig farm, prompting military officers and a rescue team to help evacuate the pigs to higher ground.
