Trang issues flash-flood warning for 6 districts in South

The Trang governor has issued a warning for people in the southern province to keep abreast of possible flash flooding and mudslides over the next 24 hours.

On Saturday, heavy downpours continued in Trang’s six districts of Rassada, Huay Yod, Mueang, Na Yong, Yan Ta Khao and Palian, especially over the Banthad mountains.
The rainfalls caused the water levels in several canals to rise quickly, leading to fears that they would burst their banks.
The governor instructed local administrators, tambon chiefs and village heads to take turns to keeping up to date on rain volumes during the next 24 hours so that help could be provided promptly if flash floods or mudslides happen.
