16 Traffic Routes to be closed on November 15
The Bangkok Mass Transit Authority will arrange buses to transport people attending the royal cremation ceremony of HRH Princess Galyani Vadhana from six locations around Bangkok.
They are: Victory Monument on the Pong Lee Restaurant side; the Wongwian Yai on the Lad Ya Road side; Supachalasai Stadium in front of the Nimibutr Building; the Nang Lerng Horse Stable; the intersection of Ratchapreuk Road and Boromrajjajonani Road; and Hua Lam Pong Train Station.
Royal Ashes collected
On Sunday, when the collection of the Royal Ashes will take place, three byways - Na Phra Lan Road towards the Royal Palace, Rajdamnoen Nai Road and the road that cuts through Sanam Luang - will be blocked from 7am until the ritual is completed.
The following Wednesday, six roads - Na Phra Lan, Rajdamnoen Nai Road, Sanam Chai, Kalayana Maitri, Assadang and Ratbopit - will be closed from 4.30pm until the end of the ceremony.
The ceremonies surrounding the Royal Cremation will last from Friday to Wednesday.
