little-known leyana spa offers some of the best deals in town

Leyana has an array of massage treatments, including a hot-stone massage (Bt2,900).

It is always good to make things better than what people expect. When Supavadee “Kae” Siripongsapak decided that her yen for spa treatments should be the basis of her business, she surprised all her friends and family.
“I always liked to be pampered in a five-star spa treatments,” says Kae. “And when I am doing my own spa business, I would love to give the same level of service to my customers. All things here must not only be beautiful but super clean because that is what I would like if I am a customer in an establishment.”
Tucked in a quiet corner of Soi Torsak on Thong Lor Soi 13, Leyana is an urban spa with an open garden and lots of natural light – two important factors that prompt customers to think that they are out of the city in a wide, open space. Every room has a garden in the back and an airy feel to make one unwind.
“There’s a magic feeling to the open air,” says Kae. “It’s a true relaxing feeling. Instead of building my treatment rooms in an enclosed space, I prefer to put lots of natural light and trees and plants just to make sure that the feeling is right for my customers. You see, when you are out in nature, closer to the sea or mountains, you feel more relaxed.”
The treatments here are all natural. Fresh scrubs are made from tangerine, rice grains, tamarind, oat, watermelon and black sesame. There is also fresh coconut, turmeric and honey to smoothen the skin.
“Since we freshly mix each scrub, customers have to make reservations so that we have enough time to prepare the ingredients,” says Kae. “Fresh herbs are much better than dried ones and I only use the best spa cosmetics when it comes to facial packages.”
Leyana has an array of massage treatments, from Oriental Thai massage (Bt1,000 for 130 minutes or Bt1,200 to 1,550 for longer) to hot-stone massage (Bt2,900 for 90 minutes) and foot massage (Bt750 for 40 minutes) to back revival (Bt1,950 for 100 minutes).
Those looking to shed some dead skin cells can select from Leyana’s scrubs menu, which includes jasmine rice, tamarind and sesame honey glow (each Bt1,300 for an hour).
The spa also offers packages where you can choose an array of menu items, including herbal steam body scrubs and massages, for almost three hours, starting from Bt1,750.
And those who want to pamper their facial skin can choose from numerous treatments, which use Sothys and Decleor products.
