22-year-old Supakorn Utaipat was the surprise second round leader with 13-under-par 131 in the US$500,000 King's Cup at the Singha Park Khon Kaen GOlf Clup on Friday. Supakorn almost had to stop his golf career due to a severe road accident three years ago in Chonburi. His collarbone was broken, fractured and dislocated. He picked up the golf clubs seven months later against his doctor advice to stop playing for a year. He is now in his third Asian Tour event where he is the leader at the clubhouse.
