"Hair for Hope by Imhathai Suwatthanasilp".

Imhathai Suwatthanasilp weaves human hair into wondrous art with the process of crocheting. You can see it throughout this month and next at the Ardel Gallery of Modern Art on Boromrachachonnanee Road in Bangkok's Thawee Wattana district. Among her previous works was her father's pigtail stretching out across three wooden slingshots he'd made. She'd also kept the pillow from her father's hospital bed, and crocheted a cover for it from her own fallen hair. Her new show "Hair for Hope: The New Beginning" moves from memoir to mercy by crocheting the hair of patients undergoing chemotherapy in the form of butterfly -- a metaphors for life's constant changes.
