"Yayoi Kusuma: Life is the Heart of a Rainbow” is the first major exhibition in Southeast Asia of Kusama referred to as the “Polka Dot Queen” at the National Gallery Singapore. Devoted to her oeuvre across seven decades from the 1950s to the present, the exhibition will focus on the immersive and expansive nature of Kusama’s work through large-scale paintings, room-size presentations, videos, soft sculptures and large installations. Described as Japan's most successful living artist, the show will also feature her famous “Pumpkin” sculpture, Dots Designs and the Infinity Mirror Room, a mirror-lined chamber housing a dazzling and seemingly endless LED light display. The exhibition will continue until September 3, 2017. Find out more at www.NationalGallery.sg.
