Herbs in the kitchen

Hansar Samui introduces cooking classes using produce from its new organic garden. The resort's classes also include a tour of the garden where guests can learn about the different kinds of fruit, vegetables and herbs being grown, and collect these at their absolute freshest. Participants then prepare a three-course Thai meal from a selection of 6 different menus, and enjoy their culinary masterpieces afterwards. Wine goes organic

Kirimaya Khao Yai launches private organic private wines created by a winemaker from Tuscany. Rigoleto 2007, the red, is marked by a sweet spiciness with notes of black fruit. This is a very pleasant full-bodied wine that's smooth and round in taste and pairs beautifully with meat dishes and medium ripe cheeses. The white is Melacce 2010. This wine has an intense nose with clear fruity traces of green apple and white peach, together with floral notes of citrus fruits, making a good pair with a fish dish. Both wines are made by the award-winning ColleMassari Winery Group.
