Walking on the wild side
Siam Tulips, the wild flower also known as dok krajiao, will soon be in full bloom at Sai Thong and Pa Hin Ngam National Parks in Chaiyaphum province. Both parks share a reputation for producing endless fields of Siam tulips from middle of June to late August. Fresh mornings, clear skies and lots of opportunities for easy strolls make both parks ideal for walking holiday. You’re advised to avoid Pa Hin Ngam National Park on the weekend as that’s when the tourists flock there.
A river runs through it
With the arrival of the rainy season, Kaeng Hin Phoeng Rapids in Prachin Buri is once again open for rafting. River-runners can get their adrenaline fixes as they navigate their way through Kaeng Ngoo Hao (Cobra rapids) and Kaeng Look Suea (Tiger Cub rapids). During the season, which runs from mid of June to October, weekenders will find plenty of other recreational activities as well as booths selling local products and various competitions.
