Seafood sensations

Phuket is playing host to a Seafood Fiesta until Tuesday. Expect lobster, crab, fish and all the delights of the Andaman Sea to add colour and taste to the island's gourmet scene. The annual fiesta takes place at hotels and restaurants around the island. Ask the waiter and waitress for the special of the day.

Drama in the dance

Performances of khon, the classical masked dance, take place every Thursday and Friday at Sala Chalermkrung theatre until December 28.

Rallying for a cause

Drive to Hua Hin in middle of August, and spend a weekend the hard way. The Queen’s Cup Hua Hin Triathlon takes place this Sunday. Created to celebrate the Queen’s 80th birthday, the triathlon is scheduled to start at the picturesque fisherman’s village of Baan Tao Kao, 10 kilometres south of Hua Hin. The annual race is set to become one of the largest triathlons in Southeast Asia, with an expected attendance of 500 racers from around the world.
