All about the Mon

Head over to Srinakharinwirot University's Prasarnmit campus tomorrow and Friday and learn about the Mon in the "Mon: Ethnic and Music" festival.

You'll find research presentations on music and performance tomorrow and music and cultural shows at the Faculty of Fine Arts' auditorium on Friday. Free admission. The campus is a short walk from MRT Phetchaburi station.

Let's talk Buddhism

Buddhist exhibition, "The Hidden Capital", which opens tomorrow at Royal Paragon Hall, offers devotees and visitors the chance to perceive different aspects of the Buddhist faith through sermons by Somdej Phra Wannarat of Wat Bowonniwet, live music from Pod Moderndog and Maleewan Jemina, plays and puppet shows. The event is being held on the fifth floor and continues through Monday.

Flying high to Chiang Rai

Bangkok Airways offers two daily flights between Bangkok (Suvarnabhumi Airport) and Chiang Rai. The morning flight PG231 departs at 7.35am and arrives at Chiang Rai at 8.55am. The A320 then leaves Chiang Rai at 9.45am before landing at Bangkok at 11.05pm. The afternoon flight PG235 takes off from Suvarnabhumi Airport at 6.05pm and arrives at Chiang Rai at 7.25pm. Revving up for Bike Week

The popular annual event known as Phuket Bike Week is being held in the Pearl of the Andaman from April 11 to 19. Coinciding with Songkran holiday, it brings together more than 5,000 big bike enthusiasts from across the Southeast Asia. A PBW Custom Bikes Contest, a tattoo contest and Miss Phuket Bike Week 2014 are among the activities set to entertain visitors to Patong Beach.
