Ringer Hut is a Japanese restaurant famed for the Nagasaki-style noodle dish known as champon, which translates as “blend”. The charm of the Nagasaki champon lies in its diverse ingredients with the combination of vegetables, meat, and seafood in a spiced broth making it a well-balanced and nutritional meal. The interior is warmly lit with a predominantly wood decor and an open kitchen where you can watch the chefs at work.
The Nagasaki champon is made by stir-frying vegetables, seafood and pork with a secret-recipe sauce before adding the broth in which the noodles are boiled. The dish will please vegetable lovers because it contains cabbage, carrot, bean sprout, corn, green peas, green onion and onion. The noodles have a pleasantly firm texture and have absorbed the soup’s flavour.
Another signature dish is Nagasaki saraudon that looks similar to Thai-Chinese noodle dish rad naa. The thin and golden crispy noodles are made from a special blend of flours then topped with mild gravy, stir-fried vegetables and seafood.
