SiS launches biggest touch tablet, InFocus's 'Mondopad'
SiS Distribution (Thailand) PLC and InFocus Corp have launched a 55-inch all-in-one multi-touch tablet, Mondopad, for the Thai market.Mondopad, which runs on Windows 7 operating system, comes with Electronic Interactive Whiteboard and video conferencing function.
Somchai Sittichaisrichart, MD of SiS Distribution (Thailand) PCL, said his firm has been distributing InFocus projectors for three years and now InFocus has entrusted SiS to distribute its new giant tablet.
He said Mondopad will answer the people's need to catch up with the digital trends as it is capable of assisting users to "live their lives: live, learn, work and play".
"Mondopad fits every well with the new learning environmental where teachers and students need to explore their learning knowledge beyond the classroom while the business can have smart meeting need to be able to connect, share, show and exchange their ideas anywhere and any devices, won't that be good if they stay connect and being able to see each others and most importantly with secure environments," Somchai said.
Spencer Chan, Director of InFocus Asia Pacific Region, for Mondopad & related products, said Mondopad is an All-In-One Design built for collaboration and built for value.
He said the tablet features a multitouch display, video conferencing, a 720p video camera, Wi-Fi, and soundbar speakers and it can act as a whiteboard, browse the Web, or display PowerPoint presentations, Word docs, and other typical business-y sorts of files.
"We’re excited to capture the best of both worlds in the Mondopad - the power of the PC and convenience of a touch tablet," Chan said.
