Nokia appoints new MD for Thailand
Yantana Simavanichkul ha been appointed as the new Managing Director for Nokia (Thailand) Ltd, the company announced Wednesday.
He is responsible for Nokia's overall operations in Thailand, ensuring the company's growth and success, maintaining its leadership in Thailand and enhances its position in smartphone market.
Yantana has spent 5 years as Head of Sales, Nokia Thailand. He oversaw channel development, performance and strategies, optimizing all sales channels to deliver sustainable competitive advantage and continuous success.
Yantana has been with Nokia Thailand since 1994 and has grown together with the company.
He has played different important roles in Nokia's mobile phone and network businesses. During his 19 years in Nokia, Yantana has been promoted to Account Manager, Sales Manager, and Head of Sales respectively.
"With our dynamic, talented Thailand team and appealing product portfolio, I am confident that we will maintain our success and enhance Nokia's leading position in the mobile phone and smartphone market according to our global strategies," Yantana said.
"I intend to leverage my long experiences and in sight in the Thai market to provide new, innovative mobile experiences for Thai consumers and bring success to our business partners."
Yantana graduated in Telecommunications Engineering from King Mongkut's Institute of Technology, Ladkrabang in 1991and holds a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from University of Texas at Austin and a Master's degree of Business Administration from Thammasat University.
