ATSI, SIPA and MAT Jointly Launch 'Marketing Weapons for Thai Software' Project
The Association of Thai Software Industry (ATSI), Software Industry Promotion Agency (Public Organization) (SIPA) and Marketing Association of Thailand (MAT) jointly introduce "Marketing Weapons for Thai Software" Project for software developers in Thailand to enhance their potential and sharpen competitive edges for global competition. The Project aims to attract over 40 participating business owners and 240 salespersons.
Mr. Somporn Maneeratanakul, President of the Association of Thai Software Industry (ATSI), revealed "The Marketing Weapons for Thai Software Project was conceptualized to the insufficient marketing skills and expertise of Thai software developers despite their competent technical know-how, management as well as capability to develop quality software for market and business purposes. Today, marketing is one of the key business strategies. Though Thai software industry is not as fiercely competitive as consumer product sector, more and more entrepreneurs are being keen to adopt IT for their businesses. Therefore, new software developers have seen the opportunities and are eager to tap the market. However, their visions are not limited only to local market but also cover regional market for the upcoming ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) in 2015. The AEC will also facilitate the software developers from our neighboring countries to enter the market and snatch market share from Thai software developers."
"Therefore, we need to enhance our strengths, know-how, understanding and expertise in marketing so we can develop a powerful tool to promote our potential and sharpen competitive edges for local, regional and global levels. Besides the powerful marketing tools, ATSI would like to create the competent salespersons to offer end-to-end solution for Thai software industry. In the first year, we hope to attract 40 owners and 240 salespersons to join this Project."
Mrs. Suwimol Taewasillachaikul, Vice President of Software Industry Promotion Agency (Public Organization) (SIPA), noted "As a leading agency that develops plans and policies to advocate Thai software industry to conform the national ICT roadmaps, we are pleased to support the Marketing Weapons for Thai Software Project which focuses on promotion and development of software developers, human resources and marketing to gain local and international recognition while conforming the government policies to develop software industry as one of the key industries to promote national competitiveness. We believe that this Project will stimulate software developers to realize the importance of the implementation of marketing know-how to benefit their businesses. Moreover, they will be more confident on how they can enhance their competitiveness with strong business plans and effective marketing plans."
Mr. Chalit Limpanavech, Vice President (Academics) of Marketing Association of Thailand (MAT), remarked "We are a non-profit organization aiming to promote national economy with marketing promotion and development and the skills of marketing jobs.
