I arrived last saturday at the new airport with flight TG 921 , coming from Francfort/Germany. It was a big surprize to see such a big building with the most less comfort for the passengers.
After a very long way to the immigration, I finally found a luggage belt with the name "Francfort" and waited there for the things that should happen. After about 30 minutes the first luggage appeared and after another 30 minutes the belt was stopped. I was looking in the surprized faces of other passengers and we began rating what may have happened to our luggage. About another 30 minutes later appeared a lady and asked us what we are waiting for !!!! After we told her our problem she contacted somebody in the airport and told us then that we have to go to belt no. 6 (from belt no. 21) Why are there no indications on the belts signs with the flight numbers About 80 persons then russhed to belt no. 6 to pick-up their luggage. The customs was no problem at all, but entering the arrival hall (if we can declare it as an arrivel hall) the searching began.
I had a domestic connection flight and was looking for any sign where to go. A nice gentleman then showed to me the way to the 4th floor. Arriving at the 4th floor, I had problems to find the check-in counter for my connection flight. After some time I was lucky to discover it, but I was told that the check-in time for my flight was at 9 am. It was 8 am and I was looking for some seat to wait but unfortunately , there was no seat to find. Finally I sat at a small metall board near the entrance to the domestic flights,which was occupied after this with other passengers that had to wait.
The rest was for me ok, there was no problem to find the correct gate for my connection flight. By the way, the new smoker rooms are bigger and with better air circulation, I apreciated it. When I will arrive the second time, I have learned my lesson and know how to act.
