Having flown out of the new airport October 1, I only remember the efficient off-loading at the departure-area, the short distances to the check-in counters as being pleasant. The endless ways that followed were a true nuisance and the small smoker's cubicles a real joke. Immigration worked slower than ever and while the counters for Non-Thai travellers were overcrowded, the Thai counterstaff enjoyed lee-time and were attending their fingernails!
