In this contest, the old stager has openly admitted he would be a nominee for the ousted premier while the young challenger is seeking to run on his own ability, integrity and untainted reputation.
The two are front runners to take the country's top job as the next prime minister. Both have experience in ministerial posts but not for the chief executive position in question.
