Chatiporn Assarat, 28, political science graduate who just received a master of public administration from the US, talked to the Puea Pandin Party and did not hesitate to join when learned its policies are in line with his ideas.

Moreover, the party impressed him by asking for his opinion and listening to a new graduate like him.

He felt honored and valued in this party, although many parties contacted him to join.

He joined as a Bangkok MP candidate.

He wants to stress education development for the country as it will lay good basis for solving economic, political and social problems, he said.

Education include nonsystematic education, which is available outside schools but reinforce children to have public mind and contribute to the public.

The mindset came from his family’s emphasis, he said.

“My ancestors have been serving the country. They include General Luang Suranarong or Thongchai Chotikasathien, my great grandfather who was a Royal AidedeCamp. Former prime minister Anand Panyarachun is also my great grandfather. His Majesty the King’s private secretary Arsa Sarasin and other relatives are also government officers. Every family members wants to contribute to the country, just as I do.”

Being a new face candidate might be difficult, but people recognise the party more, and learn it is a neutral party, he said.

He does not have an idol but adopt qualities of good politicians: honesty, human resource emphasis and put importance to developing people from their minds.
