BMW to unveil 6 new models at the Bangkok International Motor Show
BMW Group Thailand intends to launch 6 new products at the forthcoming Bangkok International Motor Show, which will be staged from March 30 to April 8 at BITEC. They include four niche models -- the X5 4.8i, the new 3 Series Convertible, the new X3 and the new generation MINI -- and 2 new motorcycles including the G Series (with three variants) and the new R1200 Sports. The six models are part of BMW Group Thailand's implementation of Product Offensive in the Thai market in 2007.
The introduction of these models, especially the X5 4.8l (priced at Bt8.6 million), 3 Series Coupe Convertible (Bt5.2 million) and the new MINI (R56) (Bt2.3 million for Cooper and Bt2.7 million for Cooper S), stresses BMW Group Thailand's effort to take on the offensive in the niche car segment with the right products, right positioning and right pricing.
BMW Group Thailand president Mr. Michael Kordys said: "The 28th Bangkok International Motor Show will be the venue in which BMW Group Thailand displays our entire range of attractive products. The new X5, the new 3 Series Coupe Convertible, the new X3 and the new MINI will make their market debut here with attractive prices. Besides, we will also display the 650i, the Z4 M Coupe, 740Li, and also other models including the 318i and the 520d that was launched last year in this public platform."
