ISA may be invoked

The government is carefully assessing the situation and will likely invoke the internal security law to deal with the upcoming rally by the red shirts, scheduled to start on November 28, Deputy Prime Minister Suthep Thuagsuban said on Friday.

"The Cabinet may debate the enforcement of security measures during its weekly meeting on Tuesday," he said.

The organisers have targetted to mobilise one million red shirts to assemble at Democracy Monument, the designated site to kick off the lengthy rally on November 28 before splitting up for marches through various streets.

The marches will converge at Misakawan Junction, in the rear of Government House, on December 2 in order to rally forcing the collapse of the government.
