50,000 copies of English language books on Princess to be distributed
The Culture Ministry will distribute 50,000 English language books to honour Her Royal Highness Princess Galyani Vadhana initially at Buddhist temples and Thai embassies aboard.
Permanent-Secretary for Culture Veera Rojanapojanarat said the book included HRH Princess's biography and her works, which reflected her grace, simplicity, energy, knowledge, kindness, courtesy and dedication.
The ministry has sent the books to agencies abroad including 580 books to 116 Thai Buddhist temples, 515 books to educational institutions with Thai Studies programs, 615 books to 123 libraries, 840 books to museums, 267 books to Thai embassies and 800 books to the AFS Intercultural Programs.
About 4,500 books were also sent to Thai tourism promotion agencies within Thailand, and 1,200 books were sent to state-run educational institutions, he added.
