Former prime minister Yingluck Shinawatra Sunday posted her picture with her son on her Facebook wall and thanked the people who had concerns for her.
In the message that was posted at 10:09 am, Yingluck said a lot of changes happened to Thailand during the past week.
She said many people were worried about her and would like to know how she was doing. “So, I would like to use this chance to thank you all for expressing concerns for me through Facebook and other media,” she said.
“I would like to use this chance to thank you all again for support for me all along. And I would like to hereby extend my moral support to all Thais.”
Yingluck was detained by the Army after she reported to the Natitonal Council for Peace and Order on the following day after the coup. She was later released. The Facebook message was her first public address following her release.
