Veteran politician died of blood severe infection Friday
Siriraj Hospital announced Friday that Maj Gen Sanan Kachornprasart who was admitted to the hospital in November last year passed away on Friday from severe blood infection. He was 77.

He was initially rushed to the Nonthavej Hospital then referred to Siriraj Hospital, where he was admitted to the Respiratory Care Unit. He hospitalized after suffering a severe emphysema attack, Professor Doctor Udom Kachinthorn , dean of Siriraj Medical School, had said.
Thanonsorn Lertritsirikul, a personal secretary to Sanan, said earlier the Chart Thai Pattana chief advisor had been suffering from emphysema for a while. He suffered a severe attack of coughing and was unable to breathe due to a built-up mucus.
