Two senior officials eye for NRC posts

Chief Ombudsman Panit Nitithanprapas and former ombudsman Pichet Soontornpipit will be nominated to join the National Reform Council (NRC), Ombudsman's Office deputy secretary-general and spokesman Raksagecha Chaechai said yesterday.

Meanwhile, King Prajadhipok’s Institute will nominate deputy secretary-general Wuthisarn Tanchai and director of the institute’s research and development office Thawilwadee Bureekul.

The nomination of the candidates for the National Reform Council will start today. Eligible non-profit legal entities can nominate up to two names to the Election Commission.

The nominations will be received until September 2, before the 11 selection committees according to the 11 areas of reform shortlist 50 names for each group.
