Suharit's campaign bins trashed

The gubernatorial campaign of independent candidate Suharit Siamwalla has suffered a setback after five 120-litre garbage bins he was using as campaign signs were stolen soon after being placed.

Suharit said the first five bins he placed around Chatuchak Park were gone in just an hour, though a message posted on his Twitter site said his other campaign bins were still in place.

He said he was glad that the bins had become useful to someone, but would have preferred it if they were left in place until after the Sunday elections. He said bin cost about Bt900.

"I expected some to go missing, but never thought they would go so soon," Suharit posted on his Twitter page.
