Martial law remains: Army

Martial law will remain in place to maintain peace in the country even though junta chief General Prayuth Chan-ocha has been named prime minister by the NLA, deputy army spokeswoman, Colonel Sirijan Nga-thong, said on Friday.

People are now able to lead normal lives and tourists appear to be returning to Thailand.

She added that martial law would not be an obstacle for the administration of the country.
