Democracy campaigner Jakrapob Penkair yesterday scoffed at the junta's claims he was linked to war weapons confiscated recently by soldiers in several hauls - or an armed revolutionary unit.
Such plots exist in novels only,” the prominent red shirt said on Facebook.
“I would like to make clear that I have not engaged in any armed struggle,” he said.
The Bangkok Military Court has approved arrest warrants against him for alleged links to the seized weapons.
Jakrapob fled Thailand several years ago to avoid prosecution on lese majeste charges.
Earlier this month, he and ex-Pheu Thai Party leader Charupong Ruangsuwan announced the launch of the anti-coup Organisation of Free Thais for Human Rights and Democracy on YouTube.
Jakrapob also expressed confidence that no country in the world would act on the regime’s request for his extradition.
The move to cancel his Thai passport would only show to the global community that the junta is no different from tyrants that have flouted international laws elsewhere, he said.
