Like-minded people have come together to help push for "selfless reform" in the country in the midst of heightening political tension, Worawan Tharapoom, president of the Association of Investment Management, said.

She announced the formation of the group on Facebook on Saturday, saying that it was comprised of various professionals such as businesspeople, civil servants, artists, academics and social activists, among others. She said their aim was to reform the country for public interest without personal benefits.
The group will hold a press conference today to introduce itself and will later invite other groups to join them, Worawan said.
Previously, a group of 25 private organisations gave up on trying to resolve the political conflict after both sides ignored its proposals.
