Good to see people voting early: Prayuth
Army chief General Prayuth Chan-ocha was overjoyed to see long queues at several polling stations before doors opened at 8am.
"This is a good omen and it is very heartening to see people coming out early," Prayuth said at a polling station on Pradipat Soi 5 in Phayathai district.He said he was happy to see citizens realise their duty to elect a good and capable person to take care of Bangkok.
The next governor should make Bangkok a safe and nice place to live by taking into account that the city has been voted the third best tourist destination in the world, he said.
