Chart Pattana to run in only some constituencies

The Chart Pattana Party will put forward candidates for the February 2 election, party leader Wannarat Charnnukul said. He added that the party would have 125 party-list candidates, and would only contest some of the country's 375 constituencies, mostly in the Northeast.

Meanwhile, ex-Chart Thai Pattana MP Ponlapee Suwanchawee has applied for membership with Pheu Thai.

Nikorn Chamnong, director of Chart Thai Pattana, said his party would reveal its plans for the upcoming election tomorrow. He explained that the party would not field candidates in Constituency 3 of Ratchaburi province and Constituency 1 of Ayutthaya province, as MPs Pareena Kraikup and Kuakul Danchaiwijit had quit the party to seek membership in Pheu Thai.
