Activist Chalad Worachat on Tuesday filed a criminal lawsuit against junta chief Gen Prayuth Chan-ocha and 26 others on sedition and lese majeste charges.

The suit was filed with the Criminal Court, which has yet to decide whether to accept or reject it.
Those named in Chalad’s lawsuit included Supreme Commander Gen Thanasak Patimaprakorn, Navy chief Adm Narong Pipattanasai, Air Force chief Gen Prajin Juntong, and Pol Gen Adul Saengsingkaew, deputy junta chief.
The suit also named Gen Udomdet Sitabutr, deputy Army chief who is the secretary general of the National Council for Peace and Order.
Chalad said if his lawsuit caused him to be summoned by the junta, he would not report himself. He said he would stage a hunger strike in front of Parliament instead of reporting to the Army.
