CAPO files police complaint against 10 PDRC guards

The government's Centre for the Administration of Peace and Order (CAPO) yesterday filed a police complaint against 10 guards of the People's Democratic Reform Committee (PDRC) for robbery, assault and illegal detention of officers on duty.

The CAPO accused the 10 PDRC guards of stealing a gun from police who were keeping security at the meeting of the Election Commission and political parties on Tuesday at a Bangkok hotel.

Meanwhile Wiratana Kalayasiri, a legal expert for the Democrat Party, filed a complaint to the National Anti-Corruption Commission against the CAPO for provoking civil disturbances in the country.

Four people were shot at an anti-government rally in the Chaeng Wattana area at about 3am on Wednesday, according to the Erawan Emergency Medical Health Centre of the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration.

Two were treated at Bhumibol Hospital and released, while two others remained at Central General Hospital.

In Pathum Thani, two men fired shots at the FM105.25 red-shirt community radio station in Lam Luk Ka district, but no one was hurt.

Police found 23 spent 9mm cartridges on the floor and a bullet that had pierced the windshield of a car in front of the station.
